In 2007 the Institute for Creation Research moved from Santee, California to Dallas, Texas. The Dallas metropolitan area has the highest percentage of evangelicals of any major metropolitan area in America.

As in Santee, ICR planned a museum to accompany their headquarters. On September 2, 2019, the Discovery Center opened.

The museum features exhibits on the founders of science, the origin of the universe, the garden in Eden, the Flood, life on the Ark, the Grand Canyon, dragon encounters, the Baobab tree, Mount St. Helens, and more.

One may ask if there is room for ‘another’ Creation Museum, but keep in mind this museum is almost 14 hours away by car from the ‘other’ museum. That means that 30 million people who live outside the driving distance of the ‘other’ museum now have an option, in the words of the Six Flags television advertising for their multiple amusement parks, “closer to home” – as in within 6 hours of home! And as patriotic free market Americans, competition makes things better.
